bio
Courtney King, a San Antonio-based veteran military musician, frontwoman, and flutist, is a versatile singer-songwriter with a rich musical background spanning multiple releases and a diverse range of projects.
Starting in St. Louis as the vocalist for the rock band Slow Down Scarlett, she launched her solo project when military moves took her to Germany. After relocating to D.C. and releasing her first full-length album, "Feel Good Swiller," she formed the four-piece rock band Courtney King and the Knockout. A classically trained flutist, Courtney also remains an active member of the D.C. Americana band Justin Trawick and the Common Good.
Now based in San Antonio, King has launched her band Courtney King and the Knockout in Texas and plans to record a new album in the spring of 2026. Her music continues to reflect a dynamic life of adaptation and diverse influences.
